A Very Warm Welcome...
The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When
We meet at the St James' Church building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 11:00am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.
Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up.

Our Service
The main service begins at 11am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of readings and hymns, culminating in the Holy Eucharist (where we share bread and wine).
We typically have two or three hymns, with bible readings and sections of liturgy (set prayers). One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. We then finish with a final hymn. The service lasts for approximately an hour.
What about my Children?
At St James, we have a children's Sunday group called "Treasure Seekers", It is a friendly & welcoming group run by DBS checked volunteers. Treasure Seekers covers lots of different activities, providing the children an opportunity to learn about God, Jesus and the church in a fun environment. Activities include:
-
Bible Stories
-
Testimonies
-
Praying
-
Music
-
Arts & Crafts
-
Drama
-
Fun & Games
Treasure seekers take place next door to church in Wick & Marcross Village Hall, please drop your children off at the hall 5-10 minutes before the main service starts at 11am, you are welcome to stay with your child if you wish. Each session runs for 30 mins before the children are brought into church to join with the main service and take part in communion.

Treasure Seekers runs once a month alternating between St James' and Monknash. Please refer to the worship page for confirmation of when Treasure Seekers will run.
